Obituary of Joan Ella Broome

Joan Broome of Stettler, Alberta beloved wife of Stan Broome passed away after a hard-fought battle on February 29, 2024 at the age of 78.

Joan will be forever missed by her loving family, husband Stan of Stettler; son Trevor Broome (Kathy) of Blackfalds; daughters Crystal Jones (Mike) of Stettler and Tina Broome-Williams (John) of Stettler; grandchildren:  Brandon Broome (Victoria) of Blackfalds, Jordan Williams Red Deer,  Stephanie Jones (Sam) of Bashaw, Lindsey Jones (Riley) of Stettler, Seanna Jones (Dylan) of Stettler, Maggie Williams of Red Deer and Carly Jones (Connor) of Stettler; great grand children: Chloe, Lawson, Isabelle and Beckham; siblings: Chuck and Jean Schilling, Doris and Ed Fuchs, Glenna and Andy Schuler and Morris and Lorna Schilling; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews, all of whom had a special place in her heart.

Predeceased by parents Charles and Barbara Schilling; sisters Dora Schilling and Yvonne Walker and brother in-law Gordon (Tick) Walker.  

The funny thing about grief, is that while it feels like your entire world has stopped, and you are just trying to survive another day, the rest of the world goes on...

If you were lucky enough to know Joan, she was always kind. She loved like no other. She was a bright light in this world, and we are forever grateful to have had her in our lives.
