I'd like to extend my sympathy and condolences to Tina and the rest of Dean's family. I knew Dean in his former capacity as the Elder for Region 3 of the Metis Nation of Alberta, and through our mutual involvement on the Hivernant Metis Cultural Society.

I very much liked and respected Dean, and found him to be pleasure to work with over the years. Dean was very proud of his Metis heritage, and worked hard to help preserve the culture and spread knowledge of it.

Rest in well-deserved peace Dean.

John

Paul and I have just heard that Dean has passed. We would like to give Tina and their family love, gentle hugs and a thank you to Dean for all he has done for the Metis. I'm very proud to call him my brother.

Tina, if there is anything Paul and I can do for you, please don't hesitate to ask. We're right across the street and would love to help you with this hard transition without Dean.

All the best to you Tina ♥️🙏🏼🤗
