Rest in peace, dear Derrick. You have touched many lives at Michener Centre. You were a very good CPR trainer and was able to influence me a lot whenever I re-do my training. Thank you for your kind words and comments during one of my CPR trainings with you as my trainer. You will surely be missed...

It was with great sadness that I learned about Derrick from one of his former grade-seven classmates, here in Hornepayne. Of course, I shall always remember him as the eager and cheerful student he was, all those years ago. Though we kept in touch only occasionally, over the years, I shall—just as importantly—remember Derrick as the warm and friendly family man, who kindly sent greetings for my 2003 retirement from full-time teaching and, then, later that summer, treated me to a personalized tour, when Joan, Johanna, and I were visiting other friends in Red Deer. At this difficult time, we are keeping Derrick’s family and friends in our thoughts and prayers.

To Ron, Dick and families. Sorry to hear of the loss of your son and brother, it sounds like he was a great man and will be sadly missed.
we were unable to attend the funeral as we had planned to leave for Wisconsin that morning and had a deadline to meet. I pray that your family, friends and memories will help you get through the difficult times.
